Herbs And Spices - Southern Style Barbecue Sauce
This basting sauce work's best with chicken or pork. It keeps well too--up to 6 months in the fridge.
Pasta - Yogurt Shrimp Fettuccine
A dash of cognac flavors this sumptuous feast of shrimp in a creamy vegetable sauce. The shrimp is cooked in butter and paprika, and the sauce is a saute of bell peppers, shallots and garlic. Add shrimp, cognac and cilantro, then serve over hot pasta.

Bread - Sourdough Scones
While trying to use up some excess sourdough starter, I developed this recipe. The scones come out really tender and moist and my kids love the cinnamon-y taste from the apple pie spice.
